Exhibition’s design, graphics and web design, environmental and collateral designs for the “Forever Celia” exhibition, for the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora, also in collaboration with Republica-Havas, who developed the exhibition’s logo. The Celia Cruz exhibit offers a comprehensive look into the life of the uncontested Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz, in the context of her journey as a Cuban exile, fashion trailblazer, and music icon. This exhibition, curated by Omer Pardillo, features items from Celia’s trademark extravagant wardrobe, and never-before-seen artifacts culled from her personal collection. It offers the public unprecedented insight into both the private life and public persona of the woman who will remain in our hearts. When the Versal team join the exhibit’s curator team, we were twice as excited with this new opportunity, taking into consideration what Celia means for our culture. Each Versal thinker put not only their best design work but also their hearts, to deliver an environmental design and all the collateral graphics that could help understand and share the cultural legacy of Celia Cruz during this exhibit.
